Cult salvation stem

I have always been a sucker for clean-looking stems and this one from Cult looks as clean as it should. This was made by a company that makes bikes and parts for freestyle so I think that it would handle BMX racing with no issues at all. To me, a strong stem is very important and I think this stem can deliver the good when it comes to durability. Cult has an online store so you should be able to order from them

Flex fighters

Back in the day, we did not have the 1 1/8" threadless fork system that we have now. I think in that sense, BMX has improved. All our forks back in the day were fastened to the frame via a headset with a 1" thread. And we had to use quill stems. Sometimes, the taller riders really jacked up their stems anfor the really brutally strong riders, this lead to cracked stems and goosenecks. Enter the flex-fighter, pictured above. These things kept your stem strong. I never had one of these but I really wish I did back in the day. These at least helped to stem some breakage stem-wise!

New Fly stem

Flybikes has released a new stem according to DigBMX. I checked it out on the Flybikes website and it looks pretty good. Looks like everyone is lightening up their parts. This thing has been hollowed out pretty much. Check it out here

DK BMX stem

There are lots of quality BMX stems on the market. Some are good, some are even better and some in my opinion, are simply the best. DK fits in there with the best. The reason? they have been making quality stems for over 30 years. Now if that is not a track record, I do not know what is. Many professional BMX racers and freestylers back in the day used DK stems because they were , as describe in an advertisement once, "Strong, light, EXCELLENT!" I know this because I use one as well. I do not work for DK if anyone is wondering. I just happen to be a fan of their offerings. DK stems are a worthwhile investment
