Got an email to inform us that Supercross BMX is now shipping these 20mm thru-axle SLTs and most Supercross BMX dealers in the USA have them already. They look pretty good too!

Supercross Bolt LT
With all the aluminium BMX race frames out there, it is great to see that Bill Ryan of Supercross still sticking to the roots of BMX and releasing a chromoly race frame. This is the frame that can be used for racing and in the off-peak racing season (if there is any like it used to be) can be used to session the trails. It will last longer than an aluminium BMX bike and it is a lot more resilient as well. The features of the bike, according to the Supercross website are:
- Triple Butted Air Hardened 4130 Cro-mo Frame Construction.
- 4.2lb Pro Race Frame that can be used as an everyday race frame and trail bike
- Same race winning geometry as the Supercross ENVY
- Integrated Campy Style 45/45 Headtube with CNC’d LOGO
- CNC Machined Euro BB shell ( 68mm Width )
- Backside CNC’d Cro-mo Dropouts
- Built in Low Profile Seatpost Clamp with replaceable Nut and Bolt ( Quick Release Compatible )
- Uses a 27.2mm Seat Post
- Tapered Chain and Seat Stays
- Bullet Tipped Rear Stays
The bike is only very slightly heavier than its equivalent aluminium cousins but I bet that it would give a more comfortable ride. Thanks Bill. I respect your respect for the roots of BMX

Supercross chromoly race forks
I have always said that there is an alternative to the fail-without-warning carbon-fibre forks that are so prevalent on BMX race bikes nowadays. Another one worth looking at are these Supercross BMX SLT forks. Unlike carbon fibre, these are made of chromoly so they will not snap without warning and are lighter than an equivalent carbon-fibre fork. I do not have a race BMX anymore but when I did, I was running the Odyssey Thermal 41 race forks that were strong as anything. If I had a race bike, I would get these.

So much for the WhyOhGee enthusiasm
It is always like this. Someone from some statutory board (in this case, WhyOhGee, which in turn is part of SSC or Singapore Sports Council, which in turn is part of MCYS) gets in touch with me with regards to BMX and when I tell them what BMX is about and ask how things are going on with regards to BMX, I receive no reply. Makes me wonder if they are serious about BMX at all. But monitoring the blog, yes they certainly are doing that! In any case, I am used to it because it is nothing new. So to the people that sent me those emails, tell that to your WhyOhGee people.
In any case, today is the Singapore Ride Of Silence ride. Will be joining them tonight at the Merlion Park. I made a post about it yesterday or the day before. Check it out!
Bill Ryan of SupercrossBMX has some new drool-worth BMX models out. You can check it out as he is quite active on Facebook. I still have the Supercross Devo cruiser that he sold me some years back. It is a great bike Bill and I love it!

Mike Moeller on Supercross?
According to BMX News, that is exactly what happened. This is not new news but it is pretty interesting. Looks like Supercross have some new blood! According to the article:
Not wanting to fill the vacancy with just any AA Pro as we want a rider that has loyalty to the program and is as nice to the kids and fans as the rest of the Supercross Pro's are we decided to leave the spot open for a bit. That was until we received a call from one of the nicest and most loyal AA Pro's on the circuit. Mikey Moeller. Seems that he had decided to leave Crupi after being with them for 9 of his last 11 years and was looking for a new home.
There you have it. The newest Supercross Factory Flyer!
