I love this pic. It shows Tosh Muraviov crashing through a Diamond Back banner. Turbo Harry Leary and Sandy Finkleman anre holding the banner. One thing I can say: Pure class!

An old-school Diamond Back BMX site

I came across this site fairly recently. It is a website dedicated to the old-school Diamond Backs. According to the site:

This site is aimed towards reference of 'old school Diamond Back' BMX between the period 1977 to 1986 and dedicated to the great Sandy Finkelman. Though Sandy sadly passed away in 2005, his memory and vision live on in what I consider the most iconic name in BMX. Over time I hope to add reviews of Diamond Back history from the very people associated with them, moreso the 'riders' that inspired that generation and beyond.

Diamondback Turbo cranks

These puppies used the same bottom bracket spindle as the RedLine 400s, i.e. a slightly larger tapered-spindle than could be found on conventional bikes. Harry Leary used to run these on his bike and these are pretty hard to come by. I would love to have a pair of these but as they say, c'est la vie!

Ismail's newly restored Diamondback

Ismail is very proud of it and I can see why. It has been very beautifully restored to its former glory with a new paintjob, new decals and pads. The rims on this baby shine like anything since Ismail gives it a daily shine everyday. I mean look at it. If it were yours, you would be proud too!

Old-school BMX Singapore at East Coast McDonalds

This pic is Ricks Diamond Back after a respray and touch up. He made it all white. We are going to do the same thing tonight at East Coast McDonalds, chatting about old times and then going for some night-cruising. Quite a few are going down and I dare say that it will be a very interesting evening.
