The new VP of BMX in Singapore

At the SACA AGM last night, a new VP of BMX was announced. It is none other that Ariff Jufri. He should know by now that he has a VERY big responsibility to the sport as all eyes will be on Singapore because of the Youth Olympics of 2010. I hope the SSC and MCYS gives him the support he needs to get this sport off the ground. Now with SSC funding under close scrutiny, Ariff needs to do even more to convince the powers that eb about the appeal of BMX and also to do something about the track in Tampines that is in a sad state. Ariff, a dirt-jumper, also needs to learn more about BMX racing and get acquainted with UCI rules pertaining to BMX racing. I hope that he does a good job and that people support him in this quest. I just hope that there are no "BMX consultants" who will come in just for the glory. This website will take them to task if necessary. To all who were nominated yesterday, congratulations!
